It's the 24th annual Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration presented by Food City at Freedom Hall in Johnson City on Saturday, July 4th. The big event begins with live entertainment beginning at 3pm Saturday afternoon. There will be singers, bands, dancers and more. Then at 10pm the big fireworks display synchronized to music on 96.9 WXBQ will begin. Admission is free so come celebrate the birth of our great nation. As part of the Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration presented by Food City, the WXBQ Rabbit has your chance to win $3,500 in FREE groceries! Yes, you could be one of three grand prize winners who each will receive a $3,500 Food City Gift Card. That's $10,500 in free groceries that will be given away. Plus, there are other prizes too. You will have one last chance to get your name in to win. Come by the WXBQ tent at Freedom Hall this Saturday to register. The Rabbit's Getting Ready for Fun Fest

Join WXBQ at Fun Fest for a great concert featuring Luke Bryan with Joey & Rory and April Taylor

 

Are you ready for the big Fun Fest AGC Concert? The Rabbit's ready! This big Sunset Concert Series show will be Thursday, July 16th at J. Fred Johnson Stadium in Kingsport and will feature Luke Bryan with guests Joey & Rory and Bristol's April Taylor. It's sure to be a fun evening for WXBQ fans. Fun Fest Giant Screen Movie Returns

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and the whole family to see a free movie on our giant screen at Fun Fest

 

The WXBQ Rabbit invites you to come enjoy our free Giant Screen Outdoor Movie at Fun Fest in Kingsport on Wednesday evening, July 15th. No admission will be charged. Our family-friendly movie will be Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa rated PG. After being stranded on Madagascar, New York Zoo animals, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, start to leave the island in this movie sequel. All of a sudden, they land in the wilderness of Africa, where Alex meets the rest of his family and the fun begins. Our giant movie screen will be set up just outside J. Fred Johnson Stadium on Fort Henry Drive near the Food Court. So come early for great food and fun games before the movie begins at dusk (approximately 9pm).
