While the Dixie Chicks were parading back a forth to the stage, the WXBQ Crew was hosting an Academy of Country Music Awards Show Party at Bailey's Sports Grill in Johnson City. The WXBQ gang and the listeners who had won party tickets watched as the Dixie Chicks accepted awards for the Video of the Year for "Goodbye Earl", Vocal Group of the Year, and the top honor...Entertainer of the Year. It certainly was the Dixie Chicks' year at the ACM Awards!

The WXBQ winning listeners enjoyed free food and soft drinks while they watched the ACM Awards Show on the giant-screen TV's at Bailey's Sports Grill. They watched as Faith Hill was named the Top Female Vocalist and Toby Keith got the Male Vocalist honors. WXBQ's Fun Crew also brought along some neat prizes to make the party more fun.

Of course a party is just not complete without a little clowning around, and the WXBQ gang sure includes a few clowns. So, Lee Ann Womack accepted the award for Single of the Year for her hit "I Hope You Dance", and the Rabbit Gang looked for laughs as they posed for the party pictures. And, on the big screen TV, Brook and Dunn accepted Top Vocal Duo honors.

Most of the WXBQ Air Crew was there...Tragler, Bill, Charlie, and Reggie. Plus, the Promotions Department guys Brian and Josh came and so did Bristol Broadcasting Company's Bill and Regina. Even the Rabbit made a quick appearance!
