The WXBQ Crew at the Appalachian Fair! The 75th Annual Appalachian Fair...a super lineup of country stars and fun! Cotton candy, carnival rides, livestock shows, exhibits, and some of the top country music stars...all at the 2001 Appalachian Fair. The nine-day fair opened on August 17th at the fairgrounds in Gray with Marty Stuart on the Main Stage. Andy Griggs performed on Saturday August 18th. Then it was Patty Loveless on Monday and Neil McCoy on Tuesday. On Wednesday night...six times vocal group of the year Diamond Rio was back in town. Jamie O'Neal entertained on Thursday. On Friday it was funny man Cledus T. Judd, and Eric Heatherly closed out the Main Stage concerts on Saturday. In 2001 the Appalachian Fair celebrated its 75th Anniversary with extra features--including a Diamond in the Ice contest--saluting their proud history.
The Main Stage entertainment lineup, like past years, was awesome. Thanks for joining the Rabbit and the WXBQ Crew each night as we welcomed the stars to Northeast Tennessee and the Appalachian Fair.
