Charlie Stuchell grew up in West Virginia and graduated from Fairmont State College there. Then Charlie's radio career took him all across the country all the way to Palm Springs, California, then back to the Tri-Cities.
Charlie likes the immediacy of radio news. He loves to be first with information about auto accidents, fires, and crimes. But he also likes to dig a little, too, to get into the details of the complicated stories. And, Charlie has been around the Tri-Cities long enough to learn about the local politics and can give special insight into the governmental and controversial issues. Working with the WXBQ News Crew, Charlie is able to point news staffers to the breaking stories and to help with the long term details of continuing events.
For more than 20 years, Charlie has volunteered time to the area emergency services and he enjoys participating in ham radio activities. Charlie and his wife live in Bluff City.
